about_AssemblyHelper SHORT DESCRIPTION The module contains several functions for dealing with assemblies. LONG DESCRIPTION Assemblies are the building block of the .NET Runtime (either Core or the full Framework). An Assembly file is just a file with the extension .dll that contains type and interface definitions. The PowerShell itsel is made of several assemblies. NOTE A very good tool for inspecting the content of an Assembly file is Ilspy.exe TROUBLESHOOTING NOTE EXAMPLES Get-Assembly *PowerShell* Gets all assembly files on the current drive that contains 'powershell' in their names. |
