about_Unlock-User
-------------------------- SHORT DESCRIPTION Unlocks a locked Active Directory user account. LONG DESCRIPTION Unlock-User resolves a user with Search-User, checks whether the account is currently locked, and unlocks it only when required. The command supports WhatIf and Confirm via ShouldProcess and returns a summary object with pre/post lock state and operation status. PARAMETERS -Identity AD user identity to unlock. Accepts sAMAccountName, UPN, or other identities supported by Search-User. -Credential Optional PSCredential used for Search-User and AD cmdlets. -WhatIf Shows what would happen if the cmdlet runs. -Confirm Prompts for confirmation before unlocking the account. OUTPUTS [pscustomobject] - SamAccountName - UserPrincipalName - DistinguishedName - WasLocked (bool) - UnlockAttempted (bool) - UnlockSucceeded (bool) - LockedAfter (bool) - Timestamp EXAMPLES Example 1 Unlock-User -Identity jdoe Unlocks jdoe if the account is currently locked out.
